BUILT AROUND YOUR BUSINESS

What matters for
Australia bookkeeping.

Bring to the first discussion

  • Your entity type, accounting contact and agreed business reporting calendar.
  • AUD bank and card accounts, supplier invoices, sales records and source receipts.
  • The accounting software and categories your accountant or BAS agent has approved.
  • Any missing periods, payroll-related source records or unsettled transactions to assess separately.

Agree the handoff you need

  • Day-to-day transaction records organised around the agreed account structure.
  • Bank and card reconciliation notes with open items clearly identified.
  • Supporting records arranged for the periods your adviser requests.
  • Agreed reporting and a documented handoff for your accountant or registered BAS agent.
Build around your reporting calendar
Agree which periods need to be ready for review and which source records your adviser expects. Keep transaction records linked to supporting documents, with clear ownership of tax coding, review and lodgement decisions.

CLEAR RESPONSIBILITIES FROM THE START

From your setup
to a shared working rhythm.

Understand your setup

Start with a discovery conversation about your business or firm, country, software, transaction volume and any backlog. Agree deliverables and fees before work begins.

Agree access & scope

Agree confidentiality, record location, named contacts and reporting dates. Use individual accountant invitations with only the access needed; do not share banking passwords.

Organise & reconcile

Address any agreed catch-up work, then record activity and reconcile accounts each month. Keep missing documents and unresolved items visible for your review.

Review & hand over

Review the monthly close, explain significant movements and share reports with your business or accountant. Agree deadlines around complete records and your review calendar.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The scope is agreed.
The next step is clear.

Discuss bookkeeping support

  • Transaction recording and source-document organisation.
  • Bank and card account reconciliation.
  • Catch-up work for a defined period, if required.
  • Agreed reports and review notes for your business or local accountant.

Confirm separately

  • Tax advice, return filing and statutory lodgements.
  • Payroll approvals, payment execution and any required registrations or professional sign-off.
  • Software migration, integrations or complex multi-currency work.
  • Fees, reporting dates, permissions and communication availability.

Akshara’s team works remotely from India. This page describes support for businesses in Australia; it does not claim a local office, professional registration or a guaranteed tax outcome. Access, record storage and responsibilities are agreed before work starts.

USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you get started.

Does this include BAS lodgement or tax-agent services?

No such inclusion or registration is claimed here. The initial scope is bookkeeping support and organised records for review. BAS preparation or lodgement and tax-agent services must be discussed separately with an appropriately registered adviser.

Can you support my existing reporting cycle?

Share your accountant’s review dates, financial year and the periods currently outstanding. The bookkeeping schedule and communication window are agreed after the workload is assessed.

Do I need to share sensitive documents now?

No. Use the enquiry to describe your business and requirement. Do not attach records or share passwords. A suitable access and document-sharing process is agreed during onboarding.

How is the quote prepared?

The team needs to understand transaction volume, accounts, entities, periods outstanding, record quality and reporting requirements before confirming a scope and quote.

Can you help with bills, invoices and payroll records?

Yes. Accounts payable, receivables ageing and payroll journal entries from your payroll provider can be included in the agreed bookkeeping scope. Payment approvals and payroll execution remain separately assigned.

How will access to our records be managed?

Confidentiality terms, record location and access responsibilities are agreed before onboarding. Use individual accountant access, limit permissions to the assigned team and arrange access removal when the engagement ends. Never share banking passwords or sensitive records through this enquiry form.
